IT Support Technician (Placement Opportunity)

Undergraduate Placement Programme: 12-month Paid Placement:

We are offering second-year university students the opportunity to join our IT Support team on a 12-month placement. Our placement programme will help you navigate the early years of your career in IT and provide opportunities to work with world leading organisations. It will support your transition from student to professional, giving you the skills to communicate and perform at a high level in corporate life. EOS offers an excellent platform for you to gain invaluable hands-on business experience and professionally grow, in a truly global enterprise.

What You'll Do:

During your IT Technician placement at EOS, you will help to operate and maintain computer systems and networks, to ensure EOS employees have the most effective IT functionality. You will also carry out the following:

Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation

Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems

Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues

Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components

Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software

Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices

Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly

Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Interest in IT/Experience in IT sector

Degree in Information Technology or related subject / experience

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels in the organisation and to different levels of technical ability.

Proven ability to work and deliver effectively within defined measures of success.

An analytical and pragmatic problem-solving focus.

Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.

Experience with Windows 10 and Active Directory

Experience of the O365 suite of applications and tools.
