
Patient Care Technician - Brain Injury

Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner is a growing organization dedicated to excellence, honesty and ethics in the treatment of our clients and each other. For more than 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. Our CARF accredited, post acute residential, vocational and outpatient programs are offered in the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh regions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Louisiana and Maryland, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Utah, Colorado, and California
Responsibilities
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be working collaboratively with the rehab team and with the patients you are assigned. You will be providing care and assistance for our patients to promote their success in daily living tasks, mobility and exercise and recreational and community based activities. You may assist the individuals with cognitive exercises and orientation. Responsibilities include overseeing and assisting with AM/PM routines as needed (including wake-up, showering, hygiene and breakfast, medications) and other patient care tech/nursing assistant activities. We welcome dedicated and motivated candidates who may be interested in the nursing or health care field. ReMed in Partnership with Learning Services offers a wide range of settings where clinical and professional skills can be developed.
Hourly Rate: Our hourly rate starts at $19 per hour, with potential increases based on education and experience.

Qualifications
Education requirements: A minimum of a HS Diploma is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred***.
***Diplomas from non-U.S. educational institutions must include professional documentation/evaluation that the non-U.S. educational program is equivalent to or exceeds U.S. educational requirements; documentation is required prior to becoming an employee
Additional Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, insurance and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained. Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills are required. The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must. The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential.
