Junior Systems Accountant

Full time, PermanentPackage: Competitive salary + meal allowance + annual company bonus + health insurance + phoneWorking: 35 hours, Monday to FridayLocation: Home based + with occasional visit to PT head office in Parque das Nações, LisbonWorking for the Advantage Smollan Group in this newly created role due to expansion, the Junior systems accountant will work closely with the Systems Accountant, Finance Systems manager, and other members of the ASL group finance team. It covers supporting a range of financial systems: D365 (ERP), MediusFlow (procurement), BPC (consolidation), Blackline (reconciliation), and SAP Analytical Cloud (reporting). Your responsibilities will include:

Setting up account structures

Setting up main account codes

Creating/Editing workflows

Opening and closing of periods

Updating financial dimension values

Maintaining legal entity overrides in the general ledger

Creating and maintaining reports

First level support for local teams

Adding new currencies for conversion

Maintaining the order of financial dimensions for integrating applications

Adding users

Removing users

License management

Security configuration changes

Generating the list of users for access review

Export of SOD (Segregation of duties) report showing conflicts

Doing a risk assessment of leavers

Working with electronic documents (templates)

Logging and managing tickets with 3rd parties

Working with Data management to copy configurations

User management for Medius (Procurement system)

Give support with new company implementations in D365

Required Skills:

Good with technology, ability to learn new systems

Bachelor or preferably master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science or similar

English – written and spoken

Knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel)

A team player

Willingness to learn

Ability to adapt in a fast paced, changing environment

Preferable Experience:

Experience working in a finance function

Experience working with D365

Experience working with SAP Analytical Cloud or similar reporting platform
