Performance Marketing Manager, Search

Podium is poised for momentous customer growth. We are looking for an exceptional Performance Marketing Manager dedicated to Paid Search who will be integral to these efforts. This hire will lead execution and drive the strategy of our SEM program, charting a course for Podium to significantly scale new customer growth through optimization and expansion of current campaigns and unlocking new, adjacent channels. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Digital on the Growth Marketing Team.

You Will:

Lead execution of Podium’s Paid Search, Paid Display, and Paid Video programs and drive the strategy (alongside other stakeholders) to dramatically and cost-effectively scale customer acquisition via Podium’s nascent self-serve offering, while also supporting campaigns that efficiently feed Podium’s sales funnel.

Relentlessly identify and test optimization tactics across key levers like bidding, landing pages, ad copy, targeting, and keyword set to improve CACs and unlock growth.

Collaborate with Data Science and Product to optimize signals to ad platforms that improve customer quality and conversion, and leverage Google’s algorithm for growth.

Establish and own weekly reporting that brings visibility into performance, trends, and underlying drivers. Dig into analytics to assess campaign effectiveness and adapt strategy accordingly.

Balance optimizing existing programs (ex. Google Ads) while also tapping into opportunities for expansion via additional search engines and new channels (e.g. Native, YouTube).

Manage budget and track spending in your channels. Bring visibility into ways to optimize spend globally (across channels, campaigns, ad groups, and time of year) to maximize business impact.

Collaborate with Finance and Data Science on models to forecast future spend, revenue, and CAC to support annual and quarterly planning.

Identify opportunities to personalize the customer journey across ads, landing pages, and CTAs

You Have:

4+ years of experience in performance marketing, with 2+ years dedicated to paid search

You are a subject matter expert in paid search and tools like Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. You stay ahead of the curve on best practices and cutting-edge trends within Google and the broader direct response ecosystem.

Demonstrated success in managing moderate-to-large-scale paid search accounts, including managing budgets and forecasting.

A track record of success in leveraging experimentation and optimization tactics to improve efficiency metrics and unlock growth opportunities.

History of using site analytics to create and deploy an effective testing roadmap.

Excellent analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, basic modeling), BI tools such as Tableau, and website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Fluency with data visualization preferred.

Significant past experience optimizing landing pages and user funnels in partnership with Product teams.

A stellar work ethic, owner mentality, and drive to be a key contributor in a fast-growing area of the business.

The ability to clearly communicate account trends to stakeholders in the broader business.

A strong POV on various measurement methodologies and the pros and cons of each.

Experience with Salesforce / Marketo preferred.
