Recovery Coach / Mental Health Worker - Social Rehab

Title: Recovery Coach (Entry Level Mental Health Worker)

Job Duties: Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Program Director, the Recovery Coach (Entry Level Mental Health Worker) is responsible for assisting in the provision of the therapeutic milieu by monitoring and communicating with clients, providing rehabilitation groups under supervision, and assisting in crisis intervention. Other duties for the Recovery Coach (Entry Level Mental Health Worker) may be assigned as needed by the Director of Nursing, the Program Director, or a Designee. Intern hours/field experience may be provided. Free clinical supervision toward BBS licensure.

Schedule: Overnight, On-Call, and Part-time shifts.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.

Minimum of two years clinical experience as applicable in a psychiatric setting.

In the absence of two years experience, training may be substituted. This training will be based on, but not limited to, the in-service plan for 52 hours.

Driving duties may be assigned, including the transportation of clients. Candidates must have a valid CA Drivers License and successfully pass a DMV driving history check.

About the Campus: Hummingbird Healing House provides a Social Rehabilitation Program, a transitional residential treatment program, as well as Full-Service Provider (FSP) team, that provides continued stabilization, medication education, dual-recovery, and support in developing and refining independent living skills. The goal for clients is to be discharged to independent living or supported housing within six to nine months. The transition to independent living is supported by the FSP team who work with clients in the community and onsite, providing a continuum of care and support, linkage and transition, and whenever possible, to Department of Rehabilitation for employment services. Clients utilizing Hummingbird Healing House services are expected to learn the skills needed to support independent living and gradually decrease their need for support as the transition toward personal independence.
