About the role:

Key Accountabilities:

First point of contact to respond to team member benefit and leave of absence management general inquiries through our Help Desk ticketing system; to include claim issues, qualifying life event (plan changes) as examples

Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollment data in all systems to provide vendors and employees with accurate eligibility information; respond to all EDI file error reports and fix issues in a timely manner

Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility 

Manage the administration of benefit plans to include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, commuter, fitness reimbursement, EAP, COBRA; assist with future implementation of new programs

Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA 

Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities 

Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts.

Assist with the annual open enrollment process 

Review and quality check the processing of monthly billing for all group plans

Partner with People team, Payroll and Finance to ensure end-to-end data consistency

Requirements & Skills:

3-5 years of progressive experience in human resources benefit administration and/or operations, delivering a high-quality experience for team members 

Extensive knowledge of federal and state requirements; benefit compliance (ADA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.) global knowledge a plus

Strong working knowledge of People functions and procedures (payroll, benefits, operations, data and compliance)

SaaS company experience or start-up environment is a plus but not required 

HRIS data administration experience required – UltiPro is a plus 

Experience working with external benefit administration service vendors

Able to confidentially maintain personal information. Understand and respect the nature of sensitive data

Detail-oriented and organized, with attention to accuracy 

Top-notch communicator and team player, always willing to collaborate with others 

Autonomous, self-disciplined, proactive, and solutions-focused with experience excelling in a dynamic, fluid, and fast-paced environment 

Results-driven, responsive, and adaptable 

Able to obsess over the customer, practice real talk, roll up your sleeves, your actions live up to words, and you share the wheel
