
Director, Global Human Resources (Remote)
The Challenge
The Director, Human Resources will work with all areas of the business, serving as a strategic consultant and Human Resources expert to help drive the delivery of our business objectives. Reporting to the VP, Global People Strategy and Operations, you will act as a trusted Human Resources partner to one or more C-Suite executive and their management teams and employees serving as a consultant to management on all human resource-related issues. The Director, Human Resources is a senior position within the organization, with global scope.
Your Mission
The Director, Human Resources will design and deliver targeted solutions with a high degree of focus on scale and growth, including strategic planning, visioning, talent assessment, change management and team building and will provide strategic business partnership and coaching to all levels of the organization.
This role will proactively manage HR transformation programs, including implementing rigorous and standardized practices and capabilities to enable program delivery, from strategic planning, program design, and implementation planning, to program management processes to monitor and report progress, risks, outcomes and impacts, as well as corrective measures.
You will lead the assessment, design, and implementation of sustainable organizational structures that align Business Leaders and HR to the challenges of the current organization structure, the business goals and the structure that will enable the achievement of those goals, including new organizational definitions, positions, proposed staffing levels, relevant implementation and communications plans, and change management plans.
You will work on Human Capital Strategy and Operating Plans to support the organization’s HR strategy and transformation objectives, thorough assessments across all locations and stakeholders, and data analysis to identify accomplishments and opportunities, managing future-state visioning sessions with key stakeholders to anticipate future needs, identify transformation objectives and intermediate results, to develop an operational results framework. You will design interventions that would achieve the results framework and a corresponding prioritization criterion to score interventions by feasibility, return on investment and constraints, and will develop the necessary monitoring, evaluation, and training plans, working together with Business Leaders to enable understanding, gather consensus, and refine content, to ensure widely accepted operating plans and optimized methods are implemented.
The Director, Human Resources will drive talent management strategies to support a team's growth and individual development plans and will manage and facilitate the overall Performance Cycle and employee engagement survey throughout the year.
This role will strategically integrate and partner with the Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and HR Operations teams to implement solutions and help scale the business, and will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team, supporting employee relations issues as needed. This role will design and facilitate team and offsite meetings as needed and will participate in and lead projects as an integral member of the extended HR community.
This role will be driving continuous improvement activities and HR Best Practice to drive synergies and efficiencies. You will maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR purview
You Are
You are a senior human resources professional, who has ample experience in positioning human resources as a business partner for excellence, making the connection between human capital and company success. You are able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize your workload and able to quickly shift priorities to meet deadlines. You are also able to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with all levels of the organization. You are very meticulous and pride yourself with attention to detail and accuracy. You are also highly organized, adaptable to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your experience includes:
Bachelor’s degree in an HR relevant field and master's in human resources or MBA highly desirable
10+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner role
Experience in startup and fast-growing environment
Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
Effective communication and critical thinking skills
Demonstrates empathy and experience driving inclusion work
Demonstrates project management and change management experience
Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams
Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
Experience helping global and/or matrixed organizations scale
Demonstrated experience in influencing and strategically solve problems
Consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
Prior experience working in Workday
