
Medical Assistant Coordinator
The WelbeHealth PACE program helps seniors stay in their homes and communities by providing medical care and community-based services. Our values and participant focus lead the way no matter what. The Clinical Coordinator (Medical Assistant) will elevate their clinical support experience, working closely with providers and the clinic team.
Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Clinical Coordinator’s role is to improve health outcomes through facilitating referrals, orders, follow-ups, consult notes, and procedure results The Clinical Coordinator will also educate and inform participants on upcoming visits and expectations to enhance communication and continuity of care between participants and providers. The Clinical Coordinator assists the provider team, clinic team, interdisciplinary team (IDT), and call center team (HUB).
This is an on-site position at our Pasadena clinic with a working schedule of Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
Essential Job Duties:
Facilitate referrals, orders, follow-ups, consult notes and procedure results, as well as provides clinic MA support if/as needed
Perform daily follow-up with the Call Center team (HUB) on routine and urgent orders and referrals, and reply to requests for information by the HUB
Provide oversight and maintains assigned clinical inboxes by conducting weekly review of order management reports to ensure all orders are processed according to Welbe Order Management standards
Serve as point of contact for network on pending claims and enter needed orders for Primary Care Provider
Handle participant appointments and make appointment reminder calls as directed
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
2-year degree program in Medical Assistance Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
Minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population, preferred experience working in home health and/or clinic
Current MA Certificate (Certification by a Medical Assistant Certifying Organization approved by the State Medical Board, preferred)
Bilingual in Spanish is a must.
