RN-School Health-REGIONAL SUPERVISOR-Cincinnati/Dayton Area

psi is looking for a RN-School Health Regional Supervisor to support Staff and Students in the Cincinnati and Dayton Area. Currently this position is 35 hours a week. Monday through Friday during school hours. This position would be for the 2022-2023 school year with the opportunity to continue into next year.

Overview

When you join our school based health team as a RN, you will truly become a part of our family. Not only are you a helping hand working with school age children, but you will provide quality and consistent care to our students in order to create happy and healthy environments. We are dedicated to making a difference in our community, we provide exceptional intervention, occupational, physical, speech therapy and health services and high quality school programs for children and schools.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor student health needs and provide appropriate nursing interventions and services to students by performing professional nursing duties as defined in the psi Health Resource Guide and the State Department of Health and in accordance with acceptable nursing practice guidelines

Provide direct service to the student and ensure that school health records are properly maintained

Warmly interact with these children, always serving them with patience and kindness

Administer prescribed medications and monitor student behavior and reaction to the administration of medication

Provide first aid as required and nursing interventions for acute and chronic medical complaints

Complete required documentation of health services needed and provided

Administer screenings

Ensure immunization records are up to date for each student

Serve as the direct supervisor of the psi Health Services Employees

Qualifications

Valid Ohio RN license required (NCSN OR LSN PREFERRED)

Must be knowledgeable about OSHA guidelines, communicable disease prevention, medication protocol, medical records management, and crisis intervention procedures

School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Excellent organizational skills and time management skills

Must have a current CPR certification and pass a comprehensive background check.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.

Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job

If hired, must obtain a current CPR and First Aide certification, complete a BCI/FBI Background check and be in compliance with Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3301-20-01.
