
LPN-School Health Clinic-NORTH OLMSTED-Full time Day School Hours

psi is looking for a LPN-School Clinic to support a Public High School in North Olmsted. Currently this position is 35 hours a week. Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This position would be for the 2022-2023 school year with the opportunity to continue into next year.

Not only are you a helping hand working with school age children, but you will provide quality and consistent care to our students in order to create happy and healthy environments. We are dedicated to making a difference in our community, we provide exceptional intervention, occupational, physical, speech therapy and health services and high quality school programs for children and schools.
Responsibilities
The LPN assists in providing services to schools that work toward the good health and wellness of students and the improvement of health conditions in general. Perform professional nursing duties as defined in the psi Health Resource Guide and the State Department of Health and in accordance with acceptable nursing practice guidelines.
Work in school clinic and attend to students’ health needs
Independently assess children's health needs in order to obtain the information necessary for medical services and to develop health plans that help meet the functional and health needs of each child served
Warmly interact with these children, always serving them with patience and kindness
Administer prescribed medications and monitor student behavior and reaction to the administration of medication
Provide first aid in accordance with established first aid procedures
Perform school health screenings
Complete required documentation of health services needed and provided
Responsible for health clinic records and responsible for shared health clinic maintenance
Qualifications
Current LPN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing
Knowledge about communicable disease prevention and medication protocol
Knowledge of HIPAA laws & ability to appropriately handle confidential information
Collaborative, constructive team building skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
If hired, must obtain a current CPR and First Aide certification, complete a BCI/FBI Background check and be in compliance with Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3301-20-01.
