
Process Improvement Team Lead

The Process Improvement Team Lead will partner cross-functionally to gain an understanding of the business, identify, and define Hunter’s critical processes, and ultimately deliver continuous improvement initiatives. This position collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced quality, increased productivity, and reduced cost. You will partner with various departments within Hunter Engineering to elevate processes both within and outside of systems.
This role is located at our company's headquarters in Bridgeton, Missouri.
What you will do:
Process Improvement:
Review business and operational transaction workflows for functionality, efficiency, and effectiveness
Use strategic thinking to systematically eliminate waste, improve workflows, and continuously improve results
Simplify processes and make it easier to spot defects and redundant steps
Improve the quality, timeliness and overall value delivered by all departments
Provide recommendations for and lead the implementation of process improvements
Identify further opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
Identify potential barriers to success and adapt processes to overcome them
Effectively lead and manage process improvement projects
Identify opportunities for automation
Process Mapping:
Lead process mapping activities, identifying tasks, task owners, reports, documents, and workflows
Assist the Company in identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities and potential constraints
Acquire a thorough working knowledge of all data sources utilized in decision making throughout the Company
Comprehensively document acquired knowledge
Systems Implementations:
Assist core teams with project management, including but not limited to ERP, MES, and PLM.
Serve as an ambassador for Hunter Engineering while working with consultants
Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project consultants, and various teams and task forces
Additional Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of applicable work experience required
3-5 years of experience with major consulting firm or public accounting firm preferred
Strong project management skills, including the ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, communicate information in a timely fashion, and execute with the appropriate sense of urgency
Strong process improvement mentality
Experience executing and leading change
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly motivated
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
Strong critical thinking and positive attitude
