Sr. Systems Engineer - Tactical & Operations

Future Technologies is seeking a Sr. Tactical & Operations Systems Engineer located in Dahlgren, Virginia to join our winning team. Clearance: Must have active DOD clearance

Responsibilities

Provide engineering and technical support for the Navy Inter-Developmental Certification Testing, Navy Link Certification testing, and Data Link Joint Interoperability Tests. These tests verify Data Link interoperability with various AEGIS and SSDS Baselines, conformance with current Military Standards, and allows a platform to annotate Trouble Reports for future software fixes

Review and incorporate operational requirements, specifications, military characteristics, or other C2 related types of requirements for the system to ascertain investigations to be conducted, the data to be collected, and plan test experiments, including determination of test procedures, test limits, and instrumentation

Review test procedures for verification and validation of software utilizing applicable requirements as specified in the program specifications; for testing Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) fixes/enhancements; and for testing/evaluation to ensure that coding standards are met

Review procedures to test functional-level and system-level requirements of the software to ensure test procedures document all tests necessary to demonstrate the software meets the requirements stated in the program specifications and Data Base Documents

Develop, modify, and assess test plans, test procedures, test processes, test cases, data extraction design, and test reports

Provide C2 technical knowledge in the development or review of automated test models, test script, and test analysis from the design agent

Develop scripts for Simulation/Stimulation (SIM/STIM) scenarios to support verification and validation

Review proposed test requirements, plans, and recommend changes based on facility test, evaluation and engineering efforts

Qualifications

BS or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics

Current DoD Security Clearance

Specialized experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: Combat Systems Cyber Security, Ships Self Defense System, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class, AEGIS Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense and Weapon/Sensor Combat Systems to conduct and coordinate individual projects

Experience in coordinating development activities associated with engineering systems, capabilities, and activities

Experience in conducting detailed and complex system engineering to include demonstrated experience in functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation and technical community review.
