Reporting to: Group Financial Controller

Location: Scale Space Building, 1st Floor, 58 Wood Lane, London W12 7RZ (hybrid working options available)

We’ve been pioneering embedded finance since 2007 and over the years, we’ve worked in partnership with banks, SaaS providers, payment processors, checkout providers, and even the UK government – providing all they need to offer easy and frictionless revenue-based finance solutions to their SME customers through our API-powered funding platform.

The Finance Team

The Finance team is at the heart of Liberis operations. Our mission is to support the future growth of the company by:

Providing insightful financial information to management and investors

Developing a scalable finance platform capable of ensuring proper oversight and compliance

We are currently a team of ten, based in London with responsibility for partnering with our Global operational teams. You’ll join a dynamic, fast paced innovative team, made up of enthusiastic and experienced finance professionals. You’ll help us drive business performance by continually challenging our ways of working, developing a best-in-class accounts payable process.

Who are you?

You have significant experience working in Accounts Payable and are keen to work in a rapidly evolving business. You’ll thrive on working within a growing team, be confident to interact with a range of stakeholders and challenge the existing processes create a best-in-class function.

You will have responsibility for independently managing the full Procure-to-Pay cycle, along with identifying and leading improvement projects.

We think you’ll need

4-5 years of experience working in accounts payable - controlling purchase orders, invoices and supplier payments;

Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders such as the Executive Leadership Team and key suppliers;

Attention to detail and the ability to solve problems in a fast moving business;

Knowledge of finance systems (preferably SAP) and outstanding Excel skills as managing masterdata and a high volume of transactions is critical;

A track record of process improvement and innovation, through better relationship management, simplifying and automating processes and addressing weaknesses in internal controls;

What will you be doing here?

As a key business process manager, you will work independently to manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including:

Proactively building relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, both UK based and overseas, to ensure an efficient invoicing and payment process;

Lead the evolution of the accounts payable function to improve customer service, increase automation and strengthen internal controls;

Independently manage the purchase order process, ensuring that all expenditure is properly approved and in line with company policy;

Oversee the payment of employee expenses and manage corporate credit card expenditure, ensure all expenses have appropriate supporting documentation and are properly approved;

Establish payment cycles, taking advantage of preferable supplier terms while managing the cash needs of the business;

Enter invoice and receipt information in the SAP system, ensuring that postings are accurate and properly coded;

Work closely with the company’s auditors during the interim and yearend review to confirm the transactions and balances reported in the financial statements.
