Area Sales Manager (Western Greater Toronto Area)


Reporting to National Sales Manager, this position maintains all aspects of product inventory for customers and ensures that it is presented in a way consistent with IDEAL company image. Incumbents will provide outstanding service to IDEAL customers, distributors, and agencies, while enhancing the reputation for quality and excellence through the continuous development of a sound working partnership with our customers, distributors, and agencies.



Work in conjunction with National Sales Manager to establish strategies and tactics to grow both revenues and profits through electrical/infrastructure channels

Establish new channel business opportunities and support existing channels

Measure/monitor weekly POS and drive actions that are focused on improvement

Proactively identify changes in the industries and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly

Meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts

Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies

Build new product categories to expand offering

Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate



Bachelor’s degree in business and/or marketing is preferred. Licensed Electrician (ticketed) is preferred but not required.

Minimum 2 years sales/account management experience within the electrical industry, is preferred.

Previous experience selling through a distributor model.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Travel requirements for this position could be at times up to 30% or more.
