Educational Sales Specialist - EdTech/K-12/SaaS - (Remote)

Job Description
The Education Specialist is a full-life-cycle hunter and partnership-builder responsible for new business sales in K-12 schools, especially focused on Charter and Private schools. With support from SDRs and Marketing, the Sales Specialist will be the owner of the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close.
SchoolMint has long built strong partnerships with Charter schools across the US. We are planning to have an Education Sales Specialist in charge of Charter school sales in each of the following territories: California, New York / New Jersey, Ohio, and Florida.
What You Will Do:
Utilize effective prospecting, networking, research, and opportunity development
Qualify new sales opportunities by utilizing discovery techniques to understand the budget, decision-maker(s), need(s), timing, and overall fit
Collaborate in the identification of target schools as well as mapping of roles and decision-makers within assigned territory
Generate revenue in your assigned territory using your entrepreneurial spirit and a variety of strategies
Build, maintain, and forecast an accurate sales pipeline and log activities in CRM (Salesforce)
Set and run custom demos and other meetings with key decision-makers
Serve at the SME regarding functionality, value propositions, and differentiators of our products to prospects
Utilize complex sales techniques to progress “stuck” deals, as needed
Complete customized pricing and proposal conversations with account champion
Negotiate deals to close/won to meet quota
Participate in kick-off/hand-over meetings with the implementation team
Develop and maintain a highly professional online presence using our website and other tools
Support marketing efforts by assisting in online, direct mail, other marketing campaigns, and trade shows
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition
Other relevant projects, as needed
About You:
3+ years of experience selling SaaS/EdTech products and solutions to K-12 schools (charter, private, and public elementary/primary school systems), OR K-12 Classroom, Charter, or Administrative experience.
Experience working with Charter schools in key target markets identified above.
Proven record of hunting / prospecting net new opportunities and building a process to build, qualify, and close/form new partnership clients.
Proven experience working with internal teams to maximize selling opportunities
High-energy; thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up sales environment
Ability to travel 10 - 20%, post-pandemic
Residence in California, Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or New York strongly preferred
