Sales Director

Sales Director - OTE $150,000 ($100k base salary)

Reporting to: Head of Global Sales

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (hybrid options available)

We’ve been pioneering embedded finance since 2007 and over the years, we’ve worked in partnership with banks, SaaS providers, payment processors, checkout providers, and even the UK government – providing all they need to offer easy and frictionless revenue-based finance solutions to their SME customers through our API-powered funding platform.

The Opportunity

The role of Sales Director is a vital one within our business. You will drive the productivity of the sales team, work with a wide range of customers both external and internal and show case your own sales skills daily whilst taking the team on a journey of continuous improvement

We need a proactive, charismatic person who can pivot between inspiring their direct reports through their people management skills whilst also able to inspire the team through their own natural sales ability. This person will need to be a catalyst for change so that Liberis can achieve growth in 2022 and provide the best-in-class service.

The Initial sales team focus on new business from a range of different channels. We have high volumes of leads and there is a burning need to be able to manage our agent’s productivity. This is essential so that we can succeed in managing the demand via our inbound calls as well as reaching every customer who requires an outbound call.

This role will give you the ability to understand Liberis customers and the sales process perfectly, you will be a hands-on team leader who is able to understand both their direct reports and Liberis customers inside out. The Sales Director will be responsible for delivering growth on all initial channels.

Responsibilities

Act as a role model and lead the sales team by example

Manage own sales pipeline and achieve your individual sales targets

Train, coach and manage a team of sales agents to continuously achieve performance targets

Create and manage a KPI performance framework for the team

Use KPIs, data analytics and customer insights to create a structure of continuous development using an OKR framework

Proactively drive continuous sales and operational process optimization

Enable and support ongoing team and individual development

Create effective management approach for flexible working including a mix of office based and remote sales agents

Liaise with multiple stakeholders in the business to enable sales projects advancement and completion

Enable and support ongoing individual agent development

Implement and coach the sales process for the team via regular call listening

Be the go-to person for any sales process related queries

Run the daily stand up and make sure the Sales Executives are accountable for their commitments

Effectively manage time, workload and shifting priorities

Build good rapport with Funding, Underwriting and Finance teams to ensure optimal working relationships and efficiency

Escalate any customer and process issues

Deputise for Head of Sales in any partnership meetings and build good rapport with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Training new staff and ongoing training of existing team

A robust and resilient self-starter

Outstanding ability to be the customer champion

The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred

The ability, tact and diplomacy to interact with people at all levels

The interpersonal skills necessary to sustain effective relationships both internally and externally

Understanding of credit products and payment processing environment is a plus
