We operate an Omni,channel B2B2C grocery supply chain for smaller cities (tier 3 and below). We believe that like any other city, these cities also have the potential to get the benefit of a tech,supported modern supply chain system; access to high,quality products at a better price with a transparent system from anywhere in the city. We are starting from Patna and planning to expand to other similar cities soon.I am a member of the founding team. An IIM grad with more than 16 years of experience in multiple MNCs in different countries, I had been working at the leadership level for the last 5 years where I managed the most important functions of the companies. We are a team of dedicated people and looking for like,minded people at a senior level who are passionate about what they do and the idea of creating a better lifestyle at smaller cities fascinates them. Currently, we are looking for a Co,founder, Head,Sourcing for the Patna location.Opportunity:, Must have a clear end,to,end understanding of an FMCG,agro commodities' business including risk areas and customer pain points., This is a hard,core Entrepreneurial position., Own, define and articulate a strategic vision for our start,up's operations., Formulation of new business models and revenue models for company's growth., Strong operational skillset, strategic thinker, and keen business acumen, as well as flair for taking calculated risk., Setting up internal processes and policies., Building and nurturing a team to build a high,growth company.Key Responsibilities:, Sourcing of agro commodities and manage all vendor relations of one or more key items, Manage end to end Sourcing process, Maintaining strong relationships with Vendors, Suppliers, Establish relationships and drive high,level negotiations of agreements,deals with leading vendors, Ensure supplier side contracting in place to serve customer orders with minimum delay, Design sourcing strategy (direct, indirect supply, priority brands, selection and terms), Be an ambassador of the company, developing deep knowledge of supply, demand trends and success drivers, Participate in day,to,day operational aspects, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price management, business improvement initiatives, Address vendor issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery., Maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors., Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with vendors., Monitor, measure, and analyse supplier performance and provide regular updates to senior management on supplier risk, performance, and relationship., Monitor and ensure successful delivery against vendor contractual obligations.Qualifications and Experience:, Graduate , Postgraduate in any discipline., Minimum 5 years of related managerial experience in working with an FMCG company. Experience can be offset by having a full,time degree from Tier I institutes (e.g.: IITs , IIMs)., Experience in sourcing, preferably in agro commodities, Supplier, Vendor Management in B2B space, Should have managed teams and developed business models to take things off the ground., Looking for candidates having prior experience in co,founding start,ups is a valuable add,on., Having experience in logistics will be an added advantageCompensation:THIS IS AN EQUITY,ONLY POSITION. We are currently bootstrapping, fixed part of the compensation would be a constrain for next 6,8 months. However, we are sure that after few months fixed part will be at par or above the market standard.This is not an advisory position hence full,time involvement is compulsory and the candidate must be based out of PATNA or ready to move in.
